I purchased a Nikon D80 back in November 07, and have been reading all I can about the Nikon and about photography in general, as I am a total beginner to photography as well as to Digital.
In fact I have probably done a little to much reading and not enough photographing, so I have set myself the challange of taking a photo a day for a year, which will hopefully encourage me to start actually taking photographs.
I hope some of the photos will be good, but I know a lot will most likely be bad, but I hope to recieve comments from other photogrphers which should help me improve my techniques over the year and hopefully I will see an improvement.
What really interests me are photographs which portray everyday life, so hopefully I will get round to taking plenty of photographs from the streets of Sheffield which is where I live.
I hope this might help other beginners to digital photography as I will post any problems I have had and any solutions I have found, or solutions that others may provide.
I am going to shoot in Manual mode although this will slow me down, I feel that this is the best way to understand the basics of photography.
